the boards link taking forever to load

Hey all. Is anyone else having this trouble? When I click on the boards link it takes forever to load but the board posts and what not load fine it's just the entry link.

They say it's because there are all those Michigan vs Ohio State stuff on the boards. <grin>.

Actually, I've noticed it too. Once you are in, it's fine, but clicking on "the boards" is a good time to get a cup of coffee, and, perhaps, grab a long nap.

Yeah, I thought it was me too. I usually click it, hit escape, and click it again until it loads. lol.

It's taking a while to load for me, too. Once I get to the boards though, it's fine.

As someone who always arrives at the boards through the '/j' route...I've yet to notice this problem. Until this is resolved, that might be an option.

Bob, I think it's because of all the Texans on the site. It has nothing to do with the Michigan vs. Ohio State jokes.

I'll try the /j thing, though. Thanks Jim. I never even thought of that option.

I always use the /j command, and it's still slow.

I honestly haven't noticed any loading issue with the boards page? Make a new friend will always load slow, that's something that we will never be able to help. As for the board issue, I personally haven't noticed it.

i think to solve the trouble of the slow lading, why not leave the board link alone, and click on news and anouncements from the main page?

that always works quicker for me

Yeah. I notice the Boards link is slow to load for me as well. It's a little annoying, but it's not a big deal to me personally, since it still works and it litterally only takes seconds longer to load. *smile*
